Please note the following when using the park

Rules when bringing pets

When bringing animals such as dogs, please keep them on a lead and do not let them run about the park. Please note that buildings have restricted access to all animals, except guide dogs. (Please read the notes handed out at the entrance)

Prohibited items

Please do not bring the following items to the park.

• Baseball Bats (Some plastic bats are permitted)
• Professional use and rubber baseballs
• Golfing goods
• Racket
• Archery equipment
• Boomerangs
• Radio controlled goods
• Roller skates
• In-line skates
• Skateboards
• Kickboards
• Bicycles (Those with stabilisers and tricycles are permitted)
• Unicycles
• Fireworks
• Glass etc.

If there is anything you are unsure of please call prior to arrival.

Open fires are prohibited

Fires are prohibited throughout the park other than in the Barbecue Area.

Animal and plant life conservation

Please do not harm any animals or remove any plant life from the park.

Activities that require prior permission

The following activities require prior permission to be granted; Sporting events, large gatherings, exhibitions, carrying out questionnaires, location shoots, the sale of goods or distribution of leaflets.Please ask at the control centre.

Areas closed during winter

During the White Season the following areas are out of bounds; Walking Path, Barbecue Area, Koshi-no-ike Pond, Flower Hill, English Garden, and the Summer House at Chi-no-jin. Do not enter these areas, as they may be hazardous.
